Nasasira Charles
Role: Head of Tax and Advisory, Parakar Consultancy Limited
Nasasira Charles is currently working with Daren Associates as the Partner, and as a Lecturer with Kodi Associates for the CPA program (Taxation and Advanced Taxation) and the International Taxation program. Both programs are managed by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda.
His work for the last 5 years has enabled him to gain professional experience across several lines of business, with core areas including Taxation, Accounting, Tax Audit, and advisory services.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Makerere University, and is a Certified Tax Advisor. He is a Certified Forensic Investigation Professional (CFIP), a Certified Public Accountant of Uganda (CPA), and is currently perusing an advanced Diploma in International Taxation with the Chartered Institute of Taxation of UK.
He has gained substantial experience in interpretation and application of tax statutes, tax computations, and tax audits, and has been involved in major audit work across manufacturing companies, banks, microfinance institutions, pension funds, insurance and reinsurance companies, forex bureaus, construction, importers and exporters, and wholesale businesses.

- Tax planning, training, and preparation of tax manuals
- Objections and appeals, and resolution of tax disputes
- Registration, preparation of audit work papers, and audit reports
